He acted in William Shakespeare's play, "Macbeth," at the Theatre Royal in Brighton, East Sussex, England with Peter Jeffrey, Patricia Healey, David Barcroft, David Swift, Julian Curry, Jeffry Wickham, Dennis Edwards, and James Aubrey in the cast. Toby Robertson was director.
Educated at Dulwich College, Winchester Art School, and Queens' College, Cambridge, where he was president of the Marlowe Society and appeared in student productions.
