His one of the founders and also producer of the Casa da Gávea in Rio de Janeiro.

In 1991 he won a Shell Award for best actor, for his role in "A Fera Na Selva":.

Between 1977 and 1984 he was a teacher in the theater of the Campinas University.

In 1977 he made his debut as a theater director with the play "Cerimônia Para Um Negro Assassinado". With this play Paulo won the Governor Award, APCA (São Paulo Art Critics Association) Award and a Mambembe Award.

Studied in Dramatic Art School.

His daughter Juliana is graduated in History and his daughter Mariana is graduated in Geography.

Paulo, Eliane Giardini and Celso Nunes are some of the founders of the theater group called Pessoal do Victor. The group was formed in 1975.
