- Contributed vocals to a song on the 1971 King Crimson album "Lizard".
- Friends with Monty Python's Eric Idle, they lived close to each other in the late 1970s. Eric sang 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life' to Jon shortly before La vida de Brian (1979) was filmed, to see what he thought of it.
- Lives in the seaside town of San Luis Obispo, California.
- Anderson had no formal musical training, rather he gained his vocal talents from singing along to old records.
- Lived in Seer Green, Buckinghamshire in the mid 1970s, the house was previously occupied by Val Doonican.
