In a new feature interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote their upcoming Netflix film, The Electric State, the duo also looked back at the beginning of their careers. While they now make millions helming superhero movies, their start in the industry wasn't as easy. Their first project was an FX pilot called Lucky, which aired for one season and led to them working on Arrested Development. During the new interview, the duo revealed which character was the most difficult to cast in the popular sitcom.

"It was Gob," Joe Russo revealed, referring to Will Arnett's character, George Oscar Bluth II aka Gob, the eldest Bluth child.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas premiered in 2000 and has since become a cult classic rewatch for the holidays. Over two decades later, actor Jim Carrey, who played the titular character, expressed his thoughts about a sequel.

Speaking to ComicBook, Carrey also revealed that he would be willing to reprise his role as the Grinch in a sequel, but he needs one major change. Carrey played the titular role in Ron Howard's 2000 film, which received a mixed reception from the critics but became a major commercial success. For the role, Carrey wore a full-body prosthetic green suit and makeup which took up to two and a half hours to apply, and he would love to speed up the process.

Glengarry Glen Ross will take over Palace Theatre this spring. 

The revival of the David Mamet play, starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr, will start previews at the theater March 10, ahead of a March 31 opening. The production is scheduled to play a strict 12-week limited run. 

The play takes over the Palace Theatre after the abrupt closure of the Tammy Faye musical on Dec. 8. Tammy Faye had been the first Broadway production to play the theater after it underwent a multiyear renovation and was raised 30-feet in the air and was meant to usher in its grand reopening. The theater boasts a seating capacity of 1,306 and has typically been used for musicals, which are seen as drawing larger crowds, rather than plays. 

The production will be directed by Patrick Marber, who won a 2023 Tony Award for his direction of Leopoldstadt. Odenkirk and Burr will make their Broadway debuts in the play.

While The Twilight Zone remains the most iconic anthology series of all time, the best Tales from the Crypt episodes stand up well with a very different feeling. "Arrested Development" is one of the best TV comedies of all time. Created by Mitchell Hurwitz, it's a show filled with memorable dialogue, expertly written and delivered punchlines, and enough running gags and callbacks to make it reward multiple viewings. Most of all, the dialogue is so good it simultaneously feels improvised yet too well structured to be improvised. In fact, the original plan was for all the dialogue on "Arrest Development" to be improvised, but the scripts turned out to be too good for that.

Scarlett Johansson pulled the plug on her Rub & Tug role faster than we could say “bad casting call.” She was all set to play Dante “Tex” Gill—a 1970s transgender crime boss—until the internet blew up over it. The issue? The Avengers star isn’t trans, and the LGBTQ+ community wasn’t having it. Cue the backlash.

At first, Scarlett went into full defense mode, pointing fingers at other actors who played trans characters. “Criticism can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman’s reps,” she quipped. Update, with additional casting: Producers have confirmed that Michael McKean will join the cast of Broadway’s upcoming revival of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross revival, joining the previously announced Kieran Culkin, Bill Burr and McKean’s old Better Call Saul cast mate Bob Odenkirk.

McKean’s casting in the role of George Aaronow was announced exclusively by Deadline in September.

Also new to the cast are Donald Webber Jr. as John Williamson, Howard W. Overshown (The Lehman Trilogy) as Baylen and John Pirruccello, making his Broadway debut, as James Lingk.

The production is set to open on Broadway in the spring of 2025. The complete cast, exact dates, full design team, and Broadway theatre will be announced at a later date. Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold are the lead producers.
