Kevin has stated that he received some of actor Cory Monteith's ashes. Cory died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol on July 13, 2013.

Became great friends with his Cazadores de sombras: Ciudad de hueso (2013) co-stars, Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower. They were both at his wedding.
