In June 2018, after four years of doctor visits, tests and misdiagnoses, she was diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor on July 26, 2018, her 50th birthday, at King's College Hospital in London. Six months later she was given the all-clear and asked to be an ambassador for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Turned down the role of Miranda Frost in 007: Otro día para morir (2002).
