His father is named Francesco and his mother Rita. He had one brother, Maurizio, and one sister, Lella.

Practiced body building and martial arts.

Became famous taking part in "Grande Fratello", the Italian Big Brother.

Was born in Frosinone but spent his childwood in Caserta.

After the big success of "Big Brother", an Italian company that produces diapers for babies offered him a job in one of their TV commercials. They wanted a typical "macho" man on a commercial for baby diapers. He turned down the job.

Lived in Rome with girlfriend Kasia Smutniak and their daughter Sophie.

His daughter Sophie was born in Rome on 4 September 2004. Taricone met Kasia when shooting "Radio West".

His family lives in Caserta, Campania, the place where he also lived before he became famous.

Pietro and Kasia broke up their long relationship in early 2008, for a brief period.

He is currently shooting the movie "Pericle il nero" directed by Francesco Patierno, taken from the homonymous book written by Giuseppe Ferrandino. (septiembre de 2004)

Taricone was with a group of sport jumpers including his then girlfriend Polish model-turned-actress Kasia Smutniak over Terni, Italy on the afternoon of June 28, 2010, when he purposely delayed opening his parachute and tried to open it when he reached 100 meters from the ground. The 'chute didn't open in time and Taricone slammed into the ground. He was rushed to hospital and died during the night after nine hours of surgery.
