American character actress, in California from the 1940s. Played the mother of the Marx Brothers on stage in the musical "Minnie's Boys".

Known to colleagues in the entertainment industry and to fans as Bunny Summers, although in daily life she went by her husband's surname and was known as Bernice Sussman.

Her husband Benjamin served in the United States Marine Corps. Their marriage lasted for 58 years until his death.
