Singer Michael Bolton has fueled rumors of an impending engagement to Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, by confessing he is "very committed" to the blonde actress. The couple reunited in the wake of Sheridan's split from fiance Niklas Soderblom last year. They had previously dated 14 years ago. And Bolton insists this time things will be very different, after taking time out from his busy touring schedule to "work on my private life." He told Us TV interviewer Daphne Barak, "I am very committed. It is a very special time in my life. I have a good feeling about the future. I have not been that happy for a long time. I have been staying at Nicollette's place in LA the last several days. We just needed this time together. We are both giving it a real try." When asked about marriage aspirations Bolton added, "Look, if I did not feel this is the story, I would not have invested so much time and energy in it. Nicollette and I are very serious about each other."...

Nicollette Sheridan's split from her former fiance Niklas Soderblom appears to have turned nasty, with the actress being accused of threatening to slap her ex with a restraining order. Soderblom, whose romance with Sheridan came to an end earlier this year, reportedly told a Swedish publication that the Desperate Housewives beauty made the threat after they ran into each other in Malibu, California, on November 27. A source says, "Nicollette started yelling, 'Get away from me!'" Soderblom is quoted as saying, "I don't understand it." Representatives for Sheridan have refused to comment.

Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan impressed fiance Niklas Soderblom during their first meeting, when she saved his life by attacking a great white shark which was edging towards him. The actress was admiring Soderblom, then a stranger, surfing in the sea when she observed the shark's fin behind her future love. But the brave 41-year-old risked her life to protect Soderblom from the predator, by racing towards it and punching its face. She says, "Niklas was on a surfboard and there was a huge great white shark that had come over from Catalina. I was doing my daily three-mile swim and I saw this fin and I swam as fast as I could and punched that shark right in the nose, repeatedly. And saved him!"...
