As the ex-wife of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, she is ostensibly the prototype for the character Simone in Welcome to New York (2014). On 18 May 2014 she published an editorial in the French edition of The Huffington Post denouncing the film and claiming that the references to her father and grandfather were defamatory and anti-Semitic.

She was the companion of the late Pierre Nora.
