‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ actress Komal Sachdeva will be seen sharing screen space with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s immigration drama ‘Dunki’ and recalled her first meeting with the filmmaker.

“When I first met Raju sir and introduced myself, he said, ‘I know you, Komal. I have seen your audition and we really liked it.’ It was a very pleasant surprise as someone like him who would have seen so many auditions for so many characters remembered my particular audition,” she said.

Komal, who was recently seen in Shilpa Shetty-starrer ‘Sukhee’, started her acting journey with theatre in Delhi with Dinesh Khanna, a professor at National School of Drama.

Actress Gracy Singh, who made a big splash in her role opposite none other than Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in ‘Lagaan’, has been away from the silver screen for quite some time, but the actress is gearing up for a comeback with a Punjabi film titled ‘Chooriyan’.

Directed by Sukhwant Dhadda, ‘Chooriyan’ is a family drama about a woman and the struggles that she undergoes when her husband, an Army officer, loses his life in an accident. Apart from Singh, the film also stars Sudhanshu Pandde, Vinod Khanna, Parikshit Sahni, Vikas Bhalla and others.

Presented by Rn Kumar and produced by Vivek Kumar, ‘Chooriyan’ is slated to release on June 19.

New Delhi, June 4: Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar will share screen space with veteran film and TV actor Parikshit Sahni for a commercial. She says it was an humbling experience.

The two will be seen together in Tara Jewellers' first TV campaign.

"It was a great honour to be acting with Parikshit sir. He is such a senior and experienced actor, and it was a very humbling and learning experience to be acting with him," Swara, who was last seen in "Aurangzeb", said in a statement.

The veteran actor, who plays Gyaneshwar in Zee TV's show "Aaj Ki Housewife Hai... Sab Jaanti Hai", is the son of legendary actor Balraj Sahni.

New Delhi, Jan 24: Veteran TV actor Parikshit Sahni proves that age is no bar when it comes to keeping pace with the latest technology. Though nearing 70, he stays abreast of the latest applications and even doles out tips to others.

According to the sources, the 69-year-old, who plays the role of Gyaneshwar in Zee TV's show "Aaj Ki Housewife Hai... Sab Jaanti Hai", can be found busy on one of his many hand-held devices - be it his iPad, iPhone or iPad Mini - during breaks between the shots.

"Be it games or the latest app (application) to hit the app market, Parikshitji is the one person who would have tried and tested it out.

After impressing one and all with her performance in films like Yeh Saali Zindagi, Delhi 6 and London Paris New York, petite beauty Aditi Rao Hydari has been signed for a pivotal role in Akshay Kumar starrer Boss. Shimla, May 9: Screen legend Balraj Sahni was very fond of the hills and now his actor-son Parikshit Sahni is paying him a tribute by setting his first production venture - with the army as its theme - in Himachal Pradesh.

"My father loved Shimla's tranquillity so much that he used to spend most of his time reading books here," said Parikshit, himself a veteran of over 90 films.

His movie, with three characters, is inspired by Sharad Kumar's novel "Shikhar Aur Seemayan". He plans to shoot the film in Rohtang Pass (3,978 metres) in the Pir Panjal range, 51.

He has done the romantic hero, played the sad scenes, the action stunts and has danced to the beat for some fabulous films including his first Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and I Hate Luv Storys. He has even done an indie adult comedy, a little film called Delhi Belly, which was a huge hit. Viveck Vaswani is unperturbed that Shah Rukh Khan's shoulder surgery would result in change of release plans for his much awaited Dulha Mil Gaya.
