The two actors, who have starred together on Broadway twice in the past, will reunite once again, but this time for a loose TV adaptation of the 1992 movie Stay Tuned, according to Deadline.

Stay Tuned is being developed at Hulu, from creators Akiva Goldsman, Jordan Cahan, and Greg Lessans, with Jordan set at as the showrunner.

Per Deadline, Hulu is rebooting Stay Tuned as a TV series. The new series is created by Akiva Goldsman alongside showrunner Jordan Cahan and Greg Lessans. Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells have also been tapped to star, playing the two leads. Like the original film, the reboot will see Gad and Rannells playing two characters who "find themselves trapped on the wrong side of the screen and forced to navigate their way through TV's most binge-worthy obsessions."

In the wake of Anna Kendrick’s success in the charming black comedy A Simple Favor and way before its sequel, Another Simple Favor, she was tapped to star in HBO Max’s Love Life, which unfortunately ran for a short time. Created by Sam Boyd, the rom-com premiered on May 27, 2020, but was cancelled in December 2022, a month after its Season 2 finale. Now, close to three years later, fans will be beyond thrilled to know that Love Life has found a new streaming home in the U.S. thanks to Netflix.

Dunham is returning to the small screen with Netflix's new original series "Too Much," which premieres on July 10 — and in a feature in Variety, she admitted that she would consider a revival of "Girls" (sort of like the "Sex and the City" reboot "...And Just Like That," except hopefully a "Girls" reboot would be good). But the reprieve in between projects was a necessity for Dunham, who notes she spent the entirety of her 20s crafting TV series, with “Girls” running on HBO from 2012-2017 and “Camping” coming shortly after in 2018. “I felt like I needed to take a little bit of time to reconnect to what I really love about what I do,” Dunham told TheWrap ahead of the debut of “Too Much,” a Netflix comedy loosely inspired by Dunham’s decision to move to the U.K. after a breakup.

Lena Dunham and husband Luis Felber’s new Netflix series “Too Much,” starring Megan Stalter, is set to drop July 10, and while the series’ trailer promised laughs, Dunham said she also felt a responsibility to use the show to make a stand on women’s rights. Speaking at a preview event (via The Hollywood Reporter), Dunham sported a Planned Parenthood pin and teased a “Too Much” storyline that involves abortion.
