She is the daughter of Geraldine (Bryant) and Col. Bertram Roberson Pratt. Her parents were both African-American/Creole (of African and European, including French, descent). Her father was from Mobile, Alabama, and her mother was from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Ex-stepmother of David Bellisario, Julie B. Watson and Michael Bellisario.

One of the original eight members of the post-1973 "second generation" of Dean Martin's Golddiggers troupe on TV and on stage, along with Maria Lauren, Linda Alberici, Susan Buckner, Robin Hoctor, Colleen Kincaid, Lee Nolting, and Patti Gribow.
