Was married to tv-personality Gabriella Jakupcsek. They have two sons: Bálint and Marcell Máté.

Considers Mielött befejezi röptét a denevér (1989), Esti Kornél csodálatos utazása (1995) and Presszó (1998) his most important movies, and, of course his first leading role in Circus maximus (1980).
