She formed her own production company called Machafilm which co-produced Robert Bresson's Four Nights a Dreamer and Pier Paolo Pasolini's Porcile.

She has written a series of cookbooks and four novels.

She has been given the Officier des Arts et des Lettres, Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merite, Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur and Chevalier du Mérite Agricole.

She attended the course of Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio in the early '60s as an observer while working as a model in for Harper's Bazaar in New York.

Her parents were Mary Belsky and Prince Belsky Wladimir Gagarin who were cousins and were found in the south of France after fleeing the Bolshevik Russia, separately.

At the 50th Cannes Film Festival, she created with her friends actresses Bernadette Lafont, Anna Karina, Alexandra Stewart, Francoise Brion an association to protest against the outdated vision of women to 50 years in films, advertising and media called The Fiftieth Jubilees.

Adopted and raised ex-husband's son, Gian Guido, who acted alongside friend Fiore Argento in Lamberto Bava's Demons (1985). The shoot was difficult for the teenagers, mainly as the crew seemed to resent Fiore's presence, thinking that the producer (her father Dario Argento) got her the part.

Attended Lycce Marie Curie de Sceaux school, then started a degree in literature at the Sorbonne while attending the course Dullin school theater NPT (Theatre National Populaire).

Currently writes a weekly magazine column in Côté Femme, a collection of which was previously published under the title of Patati Patata (2001) (julio de 2008)
