Operatic bass-baritone who often performed under the leadership of legendary conductor Arturo Toscanini, in such roles as Mefistofele in the concert performance of the Prologue to Boito's "Mefistofele", Lodovico in the famous 1947 broadcast performance of Verdi's complete "Otello", and Sparafucile in the historic 1944 Madison Square Garden concert performance of Act IV of Verdi's "Rigoletto".

He is the first Greek Tenor of Opera.
