Exclusive: Peter Facinelli (On Fire) has signed on to star in Convergence, a sci-fi action thriller that Josh Sternfeld (Fortress: Sniper’s Eye) is directing for Centerboro Productions.

In the film written by Michael K. Anderson (The Wonder Show), Centerboro President Patricia A. Beninati (Hubble: 20 Years of Discovery) and Jeff Knight (The Wonder Show), the actor plays Sam Reilly, a Supervisory Ice Officer who comes to question his worldview as he’s forced into conflict with an alien threat, fighting to save the Earth from an invasion and rescue a young girl who lost her family in the chaos. When an alien satellite crash lands in the desert of New Mexico, it infects two geologists sent to investigate with a mysterious, terrifying, and deadly condition. As the contagion begins to spread and threatens all of humanity, Sam’s joined in his fight for the future of the planet by a CDC Doctor.

Cherry Falls, starring the late Brittany Murphy, is getting the Blu-ray treatment courtesy of Scream Factory on March 29th! This week, provocative filmmaker Jennifer Lynch's latest project Chained hit DVD and Blu-Ray shelves everywhere courtesy of Anchor Bay Films and in honor of the occasion, we caught up with one of the film's co-stars, Australian actor Eamon Farren.

Farren, an up-and-coming actor who has made a name for himself on the independent cinema scene in his native country, stars in Chained as the teenage version of Rabbit, a child taken in by a psychotic murdered named Bob (Vincent D'Onofrio) who kidnapped the young boy and his mom (Julia Ormond) during a cab ride gone wrong. After killing his mother, Bob keeps the child chained inside his home, condemning the youngster to a life of slavery, living out his life only to cater to the serial killer's deadly whims.

5 Star Day writer-director Danny Buday 5 Star Day Writer-Director Danny Buday Interview Pt.1 The casting of Cam Gigandet and Jena Malone. How did that come about? What was it like working with actors whose resumes include some very well-known movie credits? When I first met with [casting director] Shannon Makhanian, Joel Mendoza and Mike Robertson, Cam was at the top of her list. She had seen him in Never Back Down and after reading the script for 5 Star Day, she thought it’d be an interesting change for him to play a nice guy character as a dramatic lead. I was really looking for an actor who could be vulnerable enough to dig into the subtext of the story and bring a heart to Jake’s journey. We got Cam the script while he was in the UK promoting Twilight, and had lunch with him as soon as he got back into town.

Dakota Fanning and Ryan Donowho have joined the cast of the upcoming Jesse Baget‘s indie thriller titled Mississippi Wild.

But that’s not all, because we just learned that Mickey Rourke, Robert Duvall and Forest Whitaker are in negotiations to co-star in the whole thing and that’s what makes this project quite interesting.

Fanning would play girlfriend to Donowho and together they are teens on the run after stealing some jewelry that belonged to a local gangster.

Mickey Rourke is in talks to play the gangster and Forest Whitaker a rival gangster who is after Rourke’s character. Robert Duvall is also signing on in an unspecified role at the moment.

As we said at the beginning Jesse Baget is in charge for writing and directing the project, while Shannon Makhanian and Ryan Johnson are in charge for producing.

Dakota Fanning has signed up to star in 'Mississippi Wild'. The 'Runaways' actress will play the girlfriend of a teen (Ryan Donowho) who is forced to go on the run when he steals diamonds belonging to a local gangster in the indie thriller, according to Variety. Mickey Rourke is being tipped for the role of the criminal while Forest Whittacker has reportedly been approached to take on the role of another gangster who is in turn chasing after Mickey's character. Jesse Bager will direct the movie from a script he has written while Shannon Makhanian and Ryan Johnson produce with Todd Slater set to executive produce. Production is set to start in Atlanta on March 21. Dakota, 16, will next be seen on cinema screens as Jane in vampire series 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' parts one and two and it was recently revealed she will play Britain's Princess Margaret in a new film.

Dakota Fanning and Ryan Donowho are set to star while Robert Duvall, Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker are in talks to join the indie thriller "Mississippi Wild" reports Variety.

Donowho will play a teen who has to go on the run with his girlfriend (Fanning) after stealing diamonds that belong to a local gangster (Rourke).

Whitaker would play another gangster who is chasing after Rourke's character. Fanning will shoot the film once she wraps work on "Motel Life" this month.

Jesse Baget will write and direct while Shannon Makhanian and Ryan Johnson are producing. Shooting aims to kick off March 21st in Atlanta.

Will Yun Lee has signed to star in the indie films "Oka! Amerikee" and "Hollywood Untitled."

"Oka!" is based on the true story of Louis Sarno, an American ethno-musicologist who lived among the Bayaka Pygmies in Central Africa for 25 years recording their music. Lee will play Yi, a Chinese businessman, alongside Kris Marshall and Isaach de Bankole.

Lavinia Currier, who wrote the screenplay and will direct, is producing the drama.

"United," written and directed by Mun Chee Yong, will star Lee as a young man struggling with the aftereffects of waking up from a coma caused by a car accident.

Brett Heneberg, Delon Tio and Shannon Makhanian are producing.

Lee, repped by Apa and the Collective, has appeared in "Elektra," "Die Another Day," "Torque," the HBO movie "Tsunami" and the FX series "Thief."...

"Twilight" bad guy Cam Gigandet and Jena Malone are starring in "Five Star Day," an indie drama written and being directed by Danny Buday.

The film is a journey of self-discovery about a guy (Gigandet) who loses everything and must come to terms with what's most important in life. Malone is playing his girlfriend.

Also in the cast is Will Yun Lee ("Bionic Woman"), who plays Samuel, the smart best friend and voice of reason to Gigandet's character.

Joel Mendoza and Buday are producing. Shannon Makhanian is co-producing. Executive producing is Mike Robertson.

Buday is a recent AFI grad whose thesis film won several awards on the festival circuit.

Gigandet plays a merciless vampire in Summit's vampire romance "Twilight," which bows Friday. He also appears in "The Unborn," David Goyer's horror thriller, and recently wrapped "Pandorum" with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. He is repped by Endeavor and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
