Raised with two mother tongues in Montreal QC Canada, Alison is seamlessly bilingual in English and French. She is multi-dialectic in both languages, and works in both languages.

Alison's family of 4 took in another family of 5 during the 1998 ice storm in Quebec. They lived together in a 3 bedroom condo for several weeks.

Growing up, Alison received extensive classical training across multiple disciplines: music, dance, theatre, and oration.

Alison's Being Human (2011) character, Emily Levison, was the only gay character on SyFy in 2011. In reality, Alison is an out and proud bisexual.

Her strong theatre background includes developing several new plays at Canada's National Theatre School, Playwrights' Workshop Montreal, and Imago Theatre.
