Interview: Jerry Bruckheimer Promises to Deliver Us from Evil
Director Scott Derrickson ('Sinister') returns to the realm of horror with upcoming exorcism thriller 'Deliver Us from Evil'. Based on the novel by Ralph Sarchie and Lisa Collier Cool it lands here in UK theatres on 20 August and stars Eric Bana as an NYPD officer who joins forces with an unconventional priest, schooled in the rites of exorcism, to combat the possessions that are terrorising their city. We haven't seen true evil, at least according to the latest official one-sheet for Scott Derrickson's new crime horror 'Deliver Us from Evil'. The movie from the director of past genre offerings such as 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' and more recently 'Sinister' will be ready to scare up an audience by landing in theatres this coming Summer. The demonic feature stars Eric Bana and hottie Olivia Munn. Here’s the new promo, which expands upon the world of the film and finds Eric Bana encountering some hair-raising, based-on-(perceived)reality experiences. Bana stars as New York police officer Ralph Sarchie, struggling with personal issues, who begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Édgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. How To Be A Good Italian Daughter Extends For 8 Weeks, Thru 12/20
"How To Be A Good Italian Daughter (In Spite of Myself)" -- a play written and performed by Antoinette Lavecchia -- has announced that it will extend its Off-Broadway engagement at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in Manhattan for eight weeks, running now through December 20, 2009. The play will perform a revised schedule, with new ticket prices during its extension.
