  • With Road Warrior Hawk, became the first tag team to win the tag team "Triple Crown" (the WWF, NWA, AWA tag team championships)
  • He and the late Mike Hegstrand got the name "The Road Warriors" and the idea for their spiked shoulder pads from the Mel Gibson movie, Mad Max 2: el guerrero de la carretera (1981).
