The story of the last days of Austrian farmer Franz Jägerstätter (1907-1943), who was executed by the Nazi regime because of his refusal to compromise with a perverse system.

In November 1918, a number of Austrian-Hungarian officers - each representing one of the great Empire's nations - are trapped by snow in a convalescent facility in the Alps and miss the end of World War I.
