Excellent performance by two of the most likeable actors working in Hollywood today. Lupita is at her A-Game in this one. That's the positives. Oh, and the Cat. He/She stoles the show, in every scene he/she is.
For a "Quiet Place" I find that the dread has been lost. The characters make to much noise in my opinion. In the first film, I saw it at the theaters, it was all silent. Not in this one. The creatures are shown too much. And the chemistry between characters could be better.
Even Part II had better character development, and that's saying a lot.
As for the ending. Kinda meh if you tell me. That being said, I've seen worse.

By the rating thought it was crap. It was waaaay better than expected. An original story. Five beautiful women at the top of their game. Yes, I said it.
Penelope using a Colombian accent was a small detail that I enjoyed.
I can see Jessica peeling an orange and will be in awe, is a bias I have.
Diane is the best thing on the movie by FAR. Is my favorite role of her so far.
Lupita kills it as a tech savy, and in one moment of the movie takes the emotional core of the movie away from Penelope.
And Fan? I was dying for her introduction, and she nailed it.
Satanizing men? Strong women? Chinese politics? Many of modern tropes are in full display in this one, but in a way that feels organic. And I pretty much enjoyed it.
