Men of Valor was a great idea, unfortunately the developers rushed the game leaving behind a trail of bugs, glitches and a large angry fan base.
Men of Valor puts you in the shoes of Marine Private First Class Dean Sheppard, you fight alongside a squad of Marines (the squad's AI is horrendous) in one of the most talked about and filmed about war in the 20th century a little place known as Vietnam.
Men of Valor has sort of movie like atmosphere the cut-scenes were well laid out and done, sometimes even touching it is clear that the developer took time doing these cut-scenes unfortunately i wish i could say the same about the game.
The game itself is your average ordinary FPS, the enemies are aplenty and your squad does little except act as a large target for the enemy, missions range from Search and Destroy missions in the Iron Triangle to fighting on the streets of Hue during the Tet offensive, unfortunately the missions are heavily scripted leaving you little freedom to roam about on the battlefield.
The worst part of the game would be the AI, the AI is horrendous half the time they just run around like headless chickens, most of them can't hit a guy two meters from their feet let alone hitting a target at all.
The game has something new that you don't find in war games, before each mission you hear a letter written by Sheppard or his family if you die you get to hear his Death letter from his commanding officer, i must say that no other game that i can think of has ever done that before. It's a touching part in a less than fabulous game.
As for graphics the vehicles and American/ARVN soldiers their gear and face are excellent but as for the NVA and VC its basic and repetitive, weapons for the most part are OK.
Overall Men of Valor would have been the best Vietnam game to-date but the developers rushed the whole project, maybe if they spent several weeks tweaking the game and making it better would they have succeeded.
i give the game 5/10

this game was excellent, my machine though not the best handled the game well, the graphics could use a little touch up but overall it was fantastic, the gameplay was excellent it really does take you through an 1930's Gangsters life of crime, booze, prohibition and death, the missions for the most part were hard if not difficult however there are some missions that are so frustrating that the player would need the consulte a guide of some sort, most missions however are pretty well planned out and executed perfectly. Missions range from collecting to the old good mafia hits. Overall it was an excellent journey Storyline was pretty good, you had a nice flowing storyline and it sometimes contains little moral lessons along the way, not many of those now a days Sound i had a little problem with it, some od the weapons just didn't sound right but for the most part the sound was excellent especially the music, it actually flows quite nicely, dramatic moments have dramatic music while calm moments will have nice vintage 30's music.
overall this game was excellent and is one of the best games i have ever played note: if your wondering my system is Win Xp, 2.7 GHZ, 256mb, Radeon 7000 64mb, it the game went smoothly for me.

The game is self is lovely, the Story line is some what weak, you lead the Rainbow team through missions that all link to a man named Gospic, Gospic is dying and he wishes that the world get a large shock from him during a celebration (i cant remember the city), he plans to plant a bomb on a float and hopefully you get the rest, the bomb itself is loaded with VX Gas and he hopes that it would wipe out an entire area, anyways the first mission supposedly has nothing to do with Story, the story begins during the 2-3 missions, Overall the game met my expectations, i had played previous Tom Clancy Games but those games really didn't hook me. it has excellent AI the enemy can shoot and can shoot well i may add, your team can shoot, throw and plant devices if you ask them to the Ragdoll effects are amazing, there are 64 weapons to choose from the MP5 to the M60E3, a superb game if your into tactical shooter/first person shooter games, the game does require you to be silent at times. i recommend that you pick it up if you like the Rainbow 6 franchise.
