I started writing reviews on IMDB because I enjoy writing and movies. I used to rate the movies using the IMDB 10 star system but since there are no guidelines and really lousy movies often have high ratings I've stopped. In my reviews I try to judge the movie based on other movies in its genre but also against all movies in general. I haven't seen many foreign films (hope to change that this year) so my viewpoint is very biased. I tend to be sarcastic in reviews of films I don't like. I hope that people who read my reviews at least get an idea of whether they want to spend their time with a film. There are so many films to see and just not enough time to see all of them.
