The definition of the word "tripe" is nonsense or rubbish. That is what this series is. We suffered through 2 episodes of this nonsense. I can see why magats would find something to like in the idiotic actions of the new sheriff, I also see that he says enough left-leaning things that would infuriate them. Ultimately, the actions taken by the sheriff are just cliches left and right. The speech about the department being a family was just a call to put cops first and CYA. Cops already know how to cover for each other. The show was full of clear-cut bad guys in the department, and the only good guys are the "cowboys" who just shoot first and ask questions later. I cringed for two full episodes before giving up. The only thing that could have improved the series would have been to kill the sheriff and promote his driver to the office. This type of show may have been tolerable if it were set in a small county with a ten-man department, not the largest sheriff's department in the country. But probably not...
The level of stupidity for NCIS has reached an all time high. This episode is by far the worst. The amount of coincidences in this episode is staggering. Once again, Nick messes up again, gets involved with a victim or person of interest and has to be vindicated again. There is no leadership on this team just a bunch of individuals waiting for Kasey to solve the crime in the most annoying way. It's time for new writers and some new actors/characters to write about. The show needs a strong lead character for the secondary characters to work of. I don't know what it will take but NCIS appears to be in it's death throes.
I want my old NCIS back! The idea that the team is tasked with saving the world is ridiculous. The dialogue is stupid and I was shocked to see James Whitmore Jr was the director. The entire scenario is ludicrous. How did Parker suddenly get the level of authority to be this high up in any situation of where the world could be coming to an end? I don't see why this situation would call for Jess to be called in from the forest since she does nothing of value in a nuclear war scenario. I don't know how the team will be able to go back to investigating dead sailors and marines or drugs being smuggled aboard ships.
