I've watched this well made documentary on TubiTv. Pandemiocracy delivers a sharp critique of governance during crises, blending insight with irony. It exposes how fear reshapes democratic norms, often with chilling clarity. The narrative, with a touch of personal family experience of director Ruben Maria Soriquez, is both timely and unsettling, inviting the audience to deep reflection. With piercing analysis, Pandemiocracy questions the balance between safety and liberty. Precious are the scientific contributions from MD doctors and virologists and the data shown throughout the documentary support its main points. A bold, thought-provoking film that lingers long after its ending.
Money well spent at the theatre for this very original film, which is the debut of Italian director Minucci. The fears, the "skeletons in the closet" of the male characters tell of a dark era of the past century, only partially lit by the flame of female strength, courage and resilience. A film that tries to deal with many themes (maybe too many) mostly ideological and psychological once and that reveals the skills of this director that, for budget reasons I supposed, had to shoot it entirely on a train. A good cinematic experience that lovers of films about the Second World War cannot miss. Congratulations to the whole Europa Centrale team!
Good idea but poor execution. It starts with a dull action sequence and ends with a very poor and too much guessable ending. Good acting but poor direction makes this film a missed opportunity. Quite boring. Waste of time. Don't watch.
