I was so glad to see that the gorgeous Jannik Schümann was in this. He didn't disappoint fo a second, cast as the reformed fascist strung along by rogue elements of the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV), the German equivalent of the UK's MI5.
The series didn't pull any punches either. Sympathetic characters got bumped off as well as horrid ones. It was quite upsetting at times.
As the episodes unfolded, it became clear as to why Julia Gerhoff was so integral to the plot and the ever deepening intrigue around her.
One thing that jarred was a plot device that's so hoary and overused that it gets me really angry. If you somehow get the better of a homicidal, pathological maniac who's trying to kill you, for goodness sake make sure when he's down that he stays down with no possibility to get up again. I realise that this was done here to set up a second season (which never materialised) but can't scriptwriters think of a better way?
That apart I enjoyed this series very much and recommend it.

I've read a couple of reviews for this elsewhere and the claims made for this frothy short are just over the top. Really nothing happens - a clearly gay student directs a Bible story in a different way to the usual themes. In the meantime he disturbs the local priest by guessing the latter is gay.
The whole thing is totally inconsequential; the film is far too short for deeper issues to be discussed.
Claudio is attractive and a disruptive influence for sure. But I just don't know what the film was trying to convey.
For me, this was not really a success.

Another short showing the horrors of school if a lad is different or presumed gay. It's everywhere. The school has clearly not stopped it and nor have the parents been informed.
There are two ways of dealing with this bullying. Turn on one of the bullies and hurt him badly - that's what I did and it all stopped. Or come out openly - a lad at school did this and directed school plays and musicals; his Noye's Fludde was fantastic. No one touched him once he was out.
Beau is lucky to have such a loyal and steadfast friend in Liam who's presumably straight.
The final scenes are an indication of the difficulties faced by some youths who've been subjected to abuse from schoolmates. And I imagine it's worse than in my day now that there is the internet and social media.
I enjoyed this film even though some of it was a bit overwrought. It filled a bit of time before going to bed.
