...after a promising Episode 1 the plot and the pace got slower and slower. Still can't accept that the windowed underwater craft didn't explode. With the writer's strike in the U. S. a number of 'international' series were launched (e.g. "Ark" and "Monarch") to get around the lack of first run shows. Not a bad idea and good to hear a lot of different accents. But, you still need good writing, a plot with a goal. By goal I mean a show needs to know it will be 1 season, or 3, or more...etc. Then, write and pace the show to that. Swarm never seemed to move the dial enough in that direction. Too bad..
Unless this show is picked up for a Season 2, I will feel guilty for having invested my time. The first few episodes captured our curiosity but the last 2-3 episodes doomed it. Hurried, confusing and with cold inter-human interaction. If it's renewed we will stream afterwards, depending on reviews.
Other reviews have addressed the science on the underwater craft, I agree. Seems little thought went into pressure. I've not read the book, perhaps much more detail is available. Character development is very shallow, has been from the beginning. I will not watch a season 2 on a weekly basis, we're going to stream later maybe, depending on reviews at that time.

I thought Bobba Fett was the worst of the Star Wars offshoots....until this. A totally forgettable series, with an unknown plot, flat I-don't-care-about characters. I don't even want to see the last episode, unless...I can be assured it is indeed the LAST episode! The "force" is at times present as we knew it but, strictly in a physical, toss 'em around way. The mysticism is missing, the mental learning and usage absent. And watching Ahshoka hand steering a spaceship through asteroid rubble...only reminds me of a kid just starting out on video games. The cameo of a great original Star Wars character was a good touch but too few minutes and dialogue. Come on guys, please start a return to quality.
