Loved the first 3 seasons. Quirky Ben Miller is perfect as Professor T. But as Season 4 opens we've already lost former stars playing Donckers and Brand. And crabby Rabbit is also missing.
It's always a bad sign when they introduce a bunch of new characters. Snares' father? Winters' father? A major role for the Professor's analyst? An aunt who comes out of the woodwork?
These are in addition to the replacements for departed characters.
But there are two MAJOR ERRORS in the 4th season. 1. WHERE THE HELL IS FRANCES DE LA TOUR as the Professor's quirky mother? She has 2 zoom appearances totally less than 3 minutes. And even Ben Miller himself seems to have been made a supporting character in his own TV series.
No more flashbacks to his troubled childhood, he now annoyingly plays the drums as therapy. A DNA plot goes nowhere. Winters and the new Donckers replacement seem to have taken over the show. BAD CHOICE.
I didn't find any of these new characters necessary or interesting.

Absolutely terrible disaster film directed by and starring Ray Milland as the father of a father on the way to camping in the mountains when nuclear war destroys Los Angeles.
Their first impulse is to drive back to Los Angeles but the traffic (hysterically bad stock footage of 4-lane traffic) on the back roads forces them to change plans.
They run into some punks and hide in a cave where the son (Frankie Avalon never could act) shoots a 2-lb stuffed deer and lugs it back to camp.
The mother and daughter (Jean Hagen and the awful Mary Mitchel) simp about doing nothing. After the punks rape the dumb daughter, Milland and Avalon find them and shoot them.
The plot is so idiotic as to defy description. It must have been written as they went along.

This late silent film from Columbia stars Jack Holt as a Union spy and Betty Compson as a rebel queen in the closing days of the Civil War.
Compson plays Belle Stone, a character based on Belle Starr. After a Union solider shoots and kills her plantation daddy, she vows revenge and turns rebel and gathers a gang of men who ambush Union supply wagons and scouting parties.
Holt infiltrates the gang and the sparks fly between him and Compson and his assignment is endangered by the romance. Will love win out or will he do his duty?
Handsome production with lots of outside action shots. Co-stars include Frank Lackteen, Pat Harmon, and Zack Williams.
The only surviving print does not contain the two color sequences. They have faded away beyond repair, but they survive in B&W.
