This movie brought a smile to many Sarathkumar fans after so many years. It is not because of his lead-role comeback. It is because the film was made with the style of a bygone era filmmaking. Masala films are made for fun and entertainment. And this way, I am satisfied with Sarathkumar's colorful Sandamarutham. Sarathkumar is a talented actor. Despite his age, he played the character of a young man so well. Amazed by his physique in his early sixties! Though some audiences might find Sarath a bit older to play this character but for me, it's normal. Sarathkumar played many older characters before at a young age, and he somehow looked like same from the beginning. In my opinion, he developed himself more in these years by losing weight. Loved the acting, dialogue and editing. The pacing was okay. The comedy was decent. The songs were melodious and dances were enjoyable which gave a taste of the 90s. Sarathkumar proved that he is still well-suited for lead characters in rom-coms and thrillers. All the cast acted well. After Sarath's acting, Samuthirakani played so well in this movie. The cinematography was brilliant. We need more of this kinda movie from Sarath. Casting Sarath in supporting roles does not do justice to his amazing acting skills. This movie does not deserve this much negative reviews. At least Sarathkumar's comeback deserves a good review since the movie is not 'half-boiled' like many of the contemporary blockbusters. As a die heart fan of R Sarathkumar, I will always recommend Sandamarutham to all.
