Awe-inspiring and talented movie. I highly recommend that people interested in cartoons come and watch. One of the attractive points is the anti-stereotypical plot and Xiaohei ID's unique humor, which runs throughout the movie. I am sure you will have a very pleasant experience when watching it. Besides, it also has many other advantages, such as the positive value that also fits to carry a child's watch with you. Hope you can hook up with it and ask the author for an update together.
When a guild is attacked by humans, Xiaohei's teacher, Wuxian, is the prime suspect of the council. Xiahoehi must partner with his teacher's former student, Luye, to prove his master's innocence and prevent an all-out war between humans and spirits.
This is a fantastic animated movie for adults. The story is layered, primarily focusing on the delicate balance between different communities during tumultuous times. This is a sequel, but knowledge of the first movie is not required to fully enjoy this one. The animation is unique compared to an anime movie, since it is a Chinese movie. There are loads of fantastic action sequences, which resemble classic kung fu movie styles. The two-hour runtime goes by quickly. This is definitely a must-watch either in theaters or when it is available to stream.

Overall storyline was amazing. From beginning to end, every moment was exciting, especially the fight scenes-they were truly thrilling. The plot flowed smoothly and carried a sense of tension, while the sudden jokes and gags made the whole theater burst into laughter. In the end, the shi jie's memories even brought me to tears. I really loved the interactions between Xiao Hei and Shi Jie-they were both so gentle, always taking care of each other. And of course, Shi Jie was super cool and soooo strong!!
Since I study film and animation, I kept paying attention to the character design and the animated backgrounds while watching. I couldn't help but think, "Wow, this is so great-how can they draw so well?" The character designs, even for passersby, were distinct and unique, showing that effort went into every detail, not just the main characters. The trees in the background had different color even in winter, the moss on the roof tiles, and even the shop names along the street, like HMCH-all showed such careful thought. Every pause revealed more details, making it clear that the animators truly loved this film as they created it. I'll definitely watch it a few more times to study the artistry and really learn from it!

Legend of Hei 2 is a sequel worth its wait. Just like the first movie, its strength is in the characterisation and world-building. And in this movie, we get an exciting expansion of both.
We get to see the beloved main characters from the first movie, Xiao Hei and Wuxian, on screen again. And while most of the movie has them separated compared to the first movie, the heartwarming coziness of their opening sequence was enough to show how much their relationship, not only as master and disciple but also guardian and child, has grown. I really love how their scenes show that Wuxian is not only training Xiao Hei to be stronger, but also showing him the world and providing him experiences. We also see some side characters make reappearances, but I especially love the bigger role Nezha has in Hei 2 and how we get to see more of him. But most of all, we get to meet new characters that seamlessly add in to the existing well-written story and dynamics. Luye is such a cool yet endearing character that balances out the relationship Xiao Hei has with Wuxian. And Xiao Hei does the same for them as we see at the end of the movie. We also meet so many new yaojing and are introduced to very important figures in the guild. The character designs and writing amazing and I find myself so deeply interested in all of them.
New characters also means new lore, and the world-building of this whole series (from Lanxi Zhen to Legend of LXH) has been expanded more for the audience's knowledge. While heavily reliant on folklore, its depiction is unique and charming and really stands out. The animation and composition of this movie is definitely a step up from its prequel. The action scenes are just as well choreographed but so much more captivating.
I love everything this movie has to offer but in a way, it also becomes its hubris. Amazing new characters and lore but there's not enough screen time to really expand on them more. It leaves you wanting more, but also it's like an itch that you need scratched. I left the theatre in awe, but also a bit unsatisfied as who knows how long I needed to wait for a new movie or season of the series, for a *chance* to see these characters again.

Unlike any other monster we saw in western movie, Luo Xiao Hei presents a very unique monster concept, where the monsters are animals but with human-like brain. The first movie have shown how monsters/animal can get hurt by human's behaviour (e.g. Logging), this time xiaohei still decided to stand on the right side rather than choose between the monsters' or humans' stance. It's great to see Xiaohei grow up and know how to differentiate what is right and what is wrong to him. Also, in combat scenes, the background seamlessly integrates with the action, heightening the tension and making the visuals exceptionally engaging. Totally masterpiece.
