Emiliana's performance kept me in it. The dad did a great job as well. Despite what looks like an extreme low budget and slow start to the film, it was the emotions in their performances that carried the story for me.

Those 2 actors were why I gave this five stars. Had I not been recommended to watch this movie specifically to see Emiliana's performance, I would have turned it off within the first ten minutes.

Note: I am extremely picky and slow, unengaging starts put me off very badly. I've prob missed out on some good stories (both film and novels) because of poor starts but hey, that's me.

Once this gets going, the 2 characers really shine with their emotional delivery of the lines up til what is imho, an anticlimactic ending.

While "MIA" faces some hurdles typical of low-budget productions-such as occasional script weaknesses and sound inconsistencies-its true strength lies in the powerhouse performance of Emiliana Jasper. She absolutely shines in her role, bringing a depth and intensity that elevates the film.
