Nocturnal

The plot falls short in terms of novelty, basic action scenes and lack of depth in both characters and storyline. It is overall pretty basic. This idea of revenge is tempting, for a dog or a brother, depending on the narrative, but this one does not make you stand with the main character, as the protagonist tries to avenge someone whom do not sparkle any empathy at all. The storyline is highly flattened, with some parts being left completely unfinished or unrelated (with the writer), giving that disjointed feeling to the viewer, and a bit frustrated. However, if you are looking for a movie while doing something else on the side, this one will do the job quite well.

My friend is (now "was") a fan of Ha Jung-woo so he dragged me with him to the theater. This is a rare occasion where I went to see a film without knowing anything about it.

It sucks so bad that I had to write a review for it. One of the most monotonous and uninspired movies I've seen in a long time. The pacing is painfully slow, with the protagonist moving from point A to B to C in an endlessly repetitive cycle, making the entire plot feel like it was assembled from a formulaic template. The action scenes lack excitement, failing to inject any sense of urgency or thrill. Character development is virtually nonexistent-each figure is predictable, dull, and lifeless. There are no surprises, no emotional highs, and certainly no compelling reason to keep watching.
