I was surprised by the lack of reviews for this series. What seemed like a typical slice-of-life drama turned out to be a compelling narrative with unexpected twists and turns. The pacing is beautifully balanced, with hardly a dull moment. While I guessed the plot by episode 4, the exceptional storytelling and performances kept me thoroughly engaged. The three main actors delivered standout performances, particularly the portrayal of a character with autism, filled with subtle, authentic nuances. Yuya Yagira's remarkable performance as the older brother, who bears the weight of caring for a sibling with autism and a young child, truly anchors the series. Do give this series a shot, it's one of the current series that managed to keep me engaged throughout.

I've watched a lot of Japanese series and films over the years and this is one of the best I've seen. It's very well put together, with a good storyline, a fascinating collection of characters, and above all a good script. What's great is that there is no single "hero": all the main characters are equally important. All the actors are excellent especially Tasuku Sato as the little boy.

The Autistic man Michito is played by Ryota Bando, who is not Autistic. At first I was annoyed at this: I thought why isn't an Autistic actor playing Michito? But Bando plays him well. The character of Michito is explored fully and is central to the story: how refreshing to see Autism depicted like this.

I liked the way it plays with the usual format of recap, intro, story, cliffhanger, credits. Sometimes the intro appear halfway through, sometimes there's an extra crucial segment tacked on the end.

It has subtitles for non-Japanese speakers, but in fact the language is quite easy to understand compared to other Japanese series. Although the story itself is very dramatic, the locations are ordinary, so by watching this you can get a good picture of everyday life in Japan.

Thank you NETFLIX for bringing this masterpiece of Japanese cinema to my screen.

This production handles interpersonal relationships with humanity. "Painted" with a realistic gentle brush that will leave you aching for more.

I absolutely the sincerity with which this show has been crafted. The most beautiful aspect is how gracefully they have shown the life of an Autistic.

Loved the show. Every character has a positive arch. But the little boy just steals your heart from the very first scene. The character of an Autistic is played so well by the actor. Even though I watched it with subtitles, i got so engrossed.

It's sad to see so few people watching this show and it not reaching to a larger audience.

This deserves a watch. No unnecessary romance or action or foul language.

I feel like I will not be able to get to the bottom of why this series is so delightful. I have not been a fan of TBS dramas before but I have watched this one at least three times now. I find being with the fellowship of the brothers and little lion Very satisfying. All the brothers roles are well acted and well cast and lion is himself delightful. The other actors in the story who played more difficult roles are also well cast and well acted. The series is shot in a very beautiful way in testimony to the integrity of the area it is set in. A song ends each episode that is very unique and quirky, but it captures one's heart. In fact I find myself singing it. I finally downloaded it from Apple and start my day with it. It somehow is a testimony to the vibrant story which touches on Human suffering and struggle through unique art pieces and a beautiful art program for autistic adult adults. The direction is very well placed and judicious in the right way. The series is not so polished that it doesn't speak to the every person. It has a bit of a raw quality that is part of it's charm. I am grateful to the people who created the series and followed through on its integrity. It communicates light. Despite a very dark storyline.
