Google "Betrayal Manga Bingo Card" and you'll see just how cookie-cutter, no surprises, paint by numbers, bland at best show really is. Go ahead and Google it, I'll wait...

Yeah, I told you. As a person who games as a support/debuff character, I was LOVING this premise. As someone considered "underrated" by teams, I totally understood how Yuke felt. I really wanted to see him struggle to make a name for himself, pushing himself harder and harder to success, conquering his own inner demons, and rising above his doubt to prove himself worthy to the world.
But that didn't happen.
I'm not going to spoil it, but the manga copies SO MUCH of Naruto that it's blatantly obvious. And the English voice actor has two voices: soft and screaming. No depth, no range, no emotion at all.
This could've been a great manga/anime about personal growth and perseverance, but instead, they grabbed the Bingo Card and painted by numbers. This is sad, sad, sad.

After Bingeing loads of Isekai, Shonen, and Seinen types of anime, I found that "I left my A-Rank Party" to have a great story line and visual fidelity that had me wanting to continue to the next episode. It set in a fantasy world, like most of the dungeon themed shows, but offers a storyline to keep you entertained. "I Left My A-Rank..." This Adventure/Fantasy shows the Main Character needing to make a decision on his next chapter in life. This shows Yuki mentoring past students that helps build a good background on the character to get you interested on how he maneuvers on how he will lead his group. Overall, I think this is a good Adventure/Fan show, that is worth the time to watch.
I've watched a lot of anime and despite this being attacked as a harem (which it kind of is) it's still really good. It's very similar to shield hero or from common place to world's strongest. I can see why a lot of the female reviewers dislike it. Guys wish women would treat them this way and they would never treat guys this way. They women are loyal and love their male counterpart. The good guy wins and attracts a following of women lovingly devoted to him. There's no real relationship stuff like worlds strongest but it could go there in future seasons. I like that it's fast paced and so much happened in the first season. Other anime would take multiple seasons to get through what they did in one. I don't read any manga because I like watching more than reading. I feel like reading doesn't let you enjoy the show as much. I liked it tho, solid 7.5. Can't give it an 8 so I gave a 7 but it's a 7.5.
What is it with anime writers? Have they never been in a relationship, so think Harem's are the ultimate relationship?
This is the story of another overpower protagonist who is pretty much an idiot. Everyone, but him, knows he is exceptionally powerful. It's a lazy trope.
His interactions with others is juvenile, and annoying. Especially around the women he is gathering to himself.
He, and his harem, go investigating dungeons that seem to be other worlds. This would be a fascinating concept, and an interesting story, but it's really only background information.
However, the reveal in episode 15 would have made for several excellent episodes, but is dismissed, especially as OP was directly responsible, and was responsible for what happened as a consequence. This is ignored.
The quality of animation is reasonably good, except when it isn't.
There is some fan service, with the usual large breasted women, but it's kept to a minimum.

(14+) Started out SO strong, but faded as the season went on... as many anime do. The last couple of episodes were kind of a train wreck I thought - particularly visually - with blurred, chaotic backgrounds and monsters that would have been really headache inducing if they had been much more prominent. That being said, the main character "Yuke" was strong and likeable and the women of his pseudo-harem were as well. Remarkably little fan service considering the harem building aspect, so that was a fine line I think the writers were pretty successful with. I will say that the fate of the arrogant, short-sighted, (and rapidly heading into full evil), team leader of Yuke's previous party (Simon) suffered the worst fate ever for an anime character. I was a little stunned by how brutal it was if you really stopped and thought about it. "Elfen Lied" and "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady" had some bad endings also (for different reasons)... but not on the scale of this. Overall, though, this was a solid watch and I recommend it if you like fantasy adventure type of anime.

¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesBecause of Simon's stupidity in attempting to enslave them to salvage his false heroic image, Yuke had to sell his soul to the Lord of the underworld to save the rest of Clover from the dungeons. Small wonder that fate rewarded Simon by having the talisman that keeps him alive backfire and turn him into an abomination straight out of AKIRA from all the excessive healing.
