Queen of Fucking Everything starts with Linda, played by Laura Malmivaara (who also directed) finding her husband gone, their bank accounts frozen and in serious debt. Linda is a successful and interesting character; a strong proud woman unable to admit her predicament to colleagues and friends and quite ruthless in her ambitions. Ruthless, in that she is determined to overcome her situation, and the imposition of the state's debt recovery on her lifestyle. One of the few people she confides in, Marke, has a partner that is on the edges of the criminal underground and that is the snag that takes her path in a less than salubrious direction. It's an interesting premise and, as Linda increasingly straddles acceptable society and the those at the margins, the story explores some interesting themes around how success is defined. The story is clever if a little clumsy in places, and it does have some plot holes, some of which are quite distracting. However, if you can put those to one side, the season overall is refreshing, humorous and quite novel. The sex episodes are available on Arena YLE, and worth a watch if you like comedy-thrillers.

Basically a quinquagenarian woman finds using her credit card that her husband has run out on her having sold everything behind her back and stuck her with 3 million Euro debt

She therefore finds alternative ways to keep head above water

That is the whole premise over 6 episodes

Very nicely done it is too

Watching this as a non-Scandinavian it has a dgree of exoticism too added to the mix

Great acting and facial switches from the main character in her different roles

Comedy you might say but fairly dark

Best Finnish serie I have watched. I binge watched this, so it tells something about the show.

Comedy tag may be a bit misleading but there are some hilarious moments especially at the first episodes, also this is how female lead show should be done, Laura Malmivaara did a great job with her character. Often Finnish actors/actresses can't act convincingly to me and that have swept me away from watching Finnish shows all together.

This show had been hyped for 2 weeks in the media and I thought let's give it a shot, and I was hooked from the first episode. Maybe this is the genre I prefer compared to other Finnish shows: it follows Linda's ongoing life through hard times with thriller like suspension but also hearthfelt moments and feel of succession. Linda's character is well written and unpredictable which makes the most of the show.

Viewer can notice the greatly different seasons of Finland.

There are some goofs to be spotted during viewing, but I was feeling forgiving because the plot was mesmerizing.

Overall I recommend 9/10.
