This film is a masterclass in aimlessness, offering neither compelling storytelling nor so-bad-it's-good charm. The pacing is glacial, the characters are hollow, and any attempts at humor fall painfully flat. Even as a guilty pleasure, it fails; there's no ironic enjoyment to be found, just a numbing sense of boredom.
The director seems to have mistaken meandering for depth, leaving the audience stranded in a cinematic void where nothing of consequence happens. Scenes drag on without payoff, dialogue feels like placeholder text, and the climax (if you can call it that) lands with a shrug. Rip.

Devil's Double Next Level is a horror film with a different concept movie. Scenes featuring Motta Rajendran and the co-actors make us laugh and keep us engaged throughout. The film blends horror and humor in a unique way that adds to the overall entertainment. Watching it without any expectations allows you to enjoy the fun and surprises it offers. It's not the usual horror movie and stands out for its comic timing and performances, especially by Rajendran and for the team. DDnext level is a light-hearted horror film worth a casual watch with friends or family for a fun weekend escape from routine.
DD Next Level had expectations due to its predecessor, DD Returns. This one has a really good idea and the makers could have done a meta commentary instead of relying on fart jokes. Although the movie isn't boring, it does not have anything to hook you up until the end. Mottai Rajendran's comedy at the climax gives a chuckle in the end of an extremely underwhelming movie. Santhanam's repeated use of the word "Bro" is irritating aswell.
GVM and Selvaraghavan did their parts well. The glamour is borderline vulgar and makes us question whether kids are supposed to watch this 'family entertainer' as well.
Santhanam really needs to choose scripts like DD Returns(although the franchise is now suffering) or even like a one-time watchable film like Vadakkupatti Ramasamy which is quite an experience. Inga Naan Than Kingu is also a decent film, Santhanam could try these type of films.

DD Next Level" is the fourth film in the "Dhilluku Dhuddu" franchise, which started in 2016. It's a horror-comedy, and I was happy to see a franchise film in Kollywood. In Hollywood, there are many franchises in every genre, but in Indian cinema, there are only a few and not all of them are great.
Now, about DD Next Level the biggest positive is the unique idea behind the film. It's actually a concept that doesn't usually fit with comedy, but in this case, it somehow worked naturally. The idea and the genre were clearly delivered to the audience. The film managed to hook viewers in the first 10 minutes, which is very important, especially for horror films. Actually, this applies to all films. The overall visual look of the film was also good. The writer tried different things to keep the audience engaged in new ways. But aside from that, I didn't find many other positives.
The concept was excellent and fresh for the horror genre. As I mentioned, it grabbed the audience's attention early on. But after the first 10 minutes, the film started to fall apart. I even felt tired after a while. One of the biggest positives in a good film is its characters. But here, none of the characters were well written not even the main hero. They tried to make him unique, but it didn't connect and felt very forced.
It's a horror-comedy, but you won't feel any horror throughout the film. There are a few small funny moments, but overall, the comedy also didn't work. The movie used many references to other films, and they all felt forced they didn't fit naturally. The writer also reused some old scenes from the earlier films in the franchise, but they didn't work either.
There were many unnecessary glamour scenes, and I felt the female characters were included just for that purpose. Their roles had no real importance in the story. One more personal opinion: the director cast two legendary Indian directors in this film, but completely misused them. I felt bad they were literally used as joke characters.
Overall, I didn't like the film. There's some violence, so if you're watching it with kids, make sure to follow parental guidance.

DD never misses!!!!!!
Horror elements little bit turned up compared to the previous film in the franchise.
Even though the comedian Santa is the peak, he never got lost in his films as a hero. He never missed the comedic timings in his films even as a hero.
He tried many different slangs in each and every film but he always scores and thats why he is permanently goated.
Comeback of Motta Rajendran after a long time and the legend nailed it.
Look at the effort he put on for a little funny sequence while being 68 years old.
Amazing film. Amazing ensemble. Innovative plot. Peak fun. Full-on entertainment. Wholesome.
Unique film about cinema.
This film has everything for its title to be " The Movie Critic ".
