Sookshama Darshini, directed by MC Jithin is an enjoyable and twisty mystery with an end that you never see coming.
Stuffed with red herrings, sub-plots and many plausible explanations, this is a wonderul whodunnit that doesn't miss a beat.
With Priya, played with great aplomb by Nazariya, we finally get a fleshed-out, homegrown, female detective whose suspicious gaze no one can escape.
A special shoutout to Sidharth Bharathan for being equal parts menacing and comedic and to Basil Joseph for playing against his type.
Here's hoping there will be a sequel and we can see more of Priya Antony cracking mysteries.

Sookshmadarshini is an intriguing thriller which balances the thrills with the fun elements really well. It has everything which is missing in today's most films, i.e. The writing and the conviction in making an atmospheric thriller
Basil Joseph looks like an average Indian guy who plays a mysterious man with suspicious personality remarkably well. The casting is brilliant of the film. Nazriya plays the nosy woman who has curiosity about other people's affair is so well cast. She brings the needed characteristics to her character.
The writers of the film Athul Ramachandran and Libin TB, two writers, have deftly dissected a scenario and reconstructed it into a film narrative. The direction by MC is so cleverly done that you keep guessing till the very end and the climax becomes very unpredictable and gives a satisfactory climax.
Sookshmadarshini is an edge of the seat thriller which makes you hooked till the very end and keeps you entertained throughout its run time. Malayalam Films have always been technically brilliant and this one is no different. Its a must watch and should not be missed at all.

A must-watch thriller with a unique touch! Basil impresses with his distinct acting, and Nazriya delivers a balanced, natural performance without overacting. All the actors have performed exceptionally well, adding depth to the story. The movie stands out with its stunning green visuals, superb locations, and an unexpected twist that keeps you hooked. While the screenplay has a slight lag in pacing, it doesn't overshadow the overall experience. The direction, combined with the atmospheric setting and engaging plot, creates a captivating cinematic journey. The film's fresh storytelling and compelling performances make it a memorable watch for thriller lovers.
In other words ,this one taste like a Fine Wine ; like Wine it will take time to kick the effect ,then minute by minute effect will keep multiplying it!

An intriguing mystery thriller reflecting a social mishap through an alluring storyline.
The story revolves around a closely knitted middle class neighborhood and the eccentric events that happen when an ambiguous family joins them.
The writer trio has conceived the brainchild and triumphed in executing it spectacularly. The visual narration has engrossed the audience to the screen forming a strong backdrop for progress of the story. The innocence and care by the fellow neighbourhood is evident through brilliant casting and sound screenplay.
The first half leaves an eerie room for skepticm, anxiety in the viewers before the intermission. The latter half moves lethargically giving the audience an open pass for arriving at many story conclusions but leverages back on track with a surprising twist in the final 20 minutes leaving a lasting impression that reminds me of the phrase "The tiger leaps two steps back not of fear, but to attack". The tail end sequence will give answers to all the confusions and misinterpretations showing the deadly significance of 'Karma'.
Splendid performance by Nazriya as the bold mischievous young lady marks the ideal response for her brilliance in script selection and the time intervals in her filmography. Basil has effortlessly done the strange characterisation through his witty mannerisms and actions. Sidharth Bharathan has delivered a subtle performance as a nerdy doc. Impressive performances from Akhila Bhargavan,Pooja Mohanraj,Merin Mary Philip,Kottayam Ramesh,Deepak Parambol,Gopan Mangat,Manohari Joy & Jaya Kurup.
Sookshma Darshini will be marked as the hottest golden feather in Happy Hours banner. Brilliant frames by Sharan Velayudhan added with Christo's hooking BGM's and Chaman's meticulous trimming has given an engaging experience. Srik Varier also deserves appreciation for the color effects and the darker tones lifting the mood of the story.
A must theatre experience for a gripping and sound story narration with spellbound performances.
