This is quite a chaotic film. It's probably not from the silent era, but it is intentionally presented as a silent piece. The film's quality, themes, performances, and overall execution seem to serve as a homage to early cinema from the beginning of the 20th century. There's no single, clear story here: we see various circus performers interspersed with seemingly unrelated clips-a comet, a Greek mythological god, a young girl riding a horse, and more. None of it really makes sense, or at least I can't identify the connecting thread. In essence, it's a collage of footage, originally conceptualized in the late 1930s and finalized in the late 1960s.
