A drama is entertainment...and thankfully people with brains do not judge all entertainment on a webtoon.
It is the day after Christmas and I was looking for something fun and entertaining and this is it.
I have only watched one episode but I was totally sick of stressful news and just wanted to smile a bit and enjoy a story.
The concept is different BUT hey, I definitely could use something different.
Thanks and I hope it is just FUN!!

People lose it over adaptations which is funny to me. It's an interpretation not a replication, you can't replicate the webtoon, and why would you want to? Let it go, and accept adaptations for what they are lol.
Acting and directing was phenomenal, with great character development too. Chemistry was perfection. Cinematography was amazing, and the plot was engaging and a wild ride. I had so much fun watching this drama. It was able to achieve in only 8 episodes what a lot dramas with 16+ episodes can't. A great way to end the year.
Congrats to Lee Junho for headlining imo 2 of the best dramas of the year. This is only my second one of his and I am a true fan now, and plan to fully eat up his catalog. He's a great actor and on fire right now :)

Cashero has a refreshing idea for a superhero story, A hero whose strength depends on how much cash he has. It sounds silly at first but it actually creates some interesting and relatable moments especially with how the character handles responsibility and pressure. Lee Jun-ho brings sincerity to the role and there are scenes that are fun, emotional and even a little thought provoking.
But the show isn't perfect. The writing can feel inconsistent and some plot points don't land as strongly as they should. A few moments build up like they're leading somewhere important then end up fading out or feeling unfinished. It's the kind of drama where the potential is there but not every idea is used to its fullest. Even then, it's not boring just uneven
Overall, Cashero works best if you go in expecting something different rather than a big, polished superhero epic. It's enjoyable for the unique concept, the character moments and the performances as long as you don't expect every part of the story to be airtight. If you like shows that experiment with ideas, it's worth a watch.

I've read the webtoon before and I'm happy they took an entirely different path for the show. It was a really fun watch and I loved Lee Junho there, I found myself constantly rooting for him and his girlfriend. The main character's broke and it makes me sympathise even more with him and his superpower that drains his cash. Also, I love the dynamics between the couple, practical and money-driven, it's relatable and their romance was on point. The other superheroes also felt real. There were quite a lot of funny moments, it would be perfect for people that enjoy quirky characters. I binged the show.

I didn't even realize how much time had passed while binge watching it.
It playfully pokes fun at the reality of capitalism where money can fix almost anything in a light and easy-to-get way.
A lot of recent K-dramas try too hard to be heavy and epic but end up feeling empty which is why I stopped watching them. Cashero feels refreshing and kind of brings back what made K-dramas great in the first place. I like it.

Cashero is the kind of superhero who speaks to people who genuinely need help. He may be superhuman, but he remains deeply relatable - someone who reflects the struggles, hopes, and responsibilities we carry every day. His story reminds us that real heroism isn't always about grand gestures or flashy powers, but about showing up for others with sincerity and heart. Watching Cashero makes us look at our own daily realities and ask. 10 stars 🌟 and millions of thumbs up.👍
The acting performance, the action-packed production, great CGI.. Cashero is our new superhero.

In the age of meaningless individualism, loss of community, selfishness and numbness, the hero we need is someone exactly like Cashero. A hero who cannot look the other way even if he knows he will definitely lose something that matters to him. As he asks in the show, who will help save people if not the hero. Just like the most famous superhero line says; great power comes with great responsibility. What cashero reminds us is valuable. Standing up for what's right, holding each other up, unity, community, mean more than ever. Even if the world seems to be ruled by crazy villains... Eventually we all gotta hope to be acknowledged for our relentless pursuit of justice just like Cashero. If we need to discuss the technical parts, yes it wasn't the perfect plot. There was holes in it like a favorite sweater that you can't seem to let go. Nevertheless you have great time wearing it. It's cool, original, and you look badass. Lee Junho is a great choice. He can be cool, funny, goofy and badass all at the same time. Special effects were definitely not cringey like I feared it might be. Every scene was convincing and directed well. I had great time watching this and recommend it to anyone who wants to be reminded that goodness and care for others will prevail all else.

"If I have the money, I'll spend all my time doing good deeds," - People say this a lot. There should be no excuse for helping others. If you can't help others when you don't have much, you'll never help them when you have plenty.
Cashero is new to me. I've never heard if it before so I gave it a shot and it was surprisingly interesting! Although getting married is the real problem. What a waste of money.

From heroes to villains the acting was perfect. Both sides were well matched. The message was clear...live well and care for others no matter the cost. All the heroes will pay the price as they use their powers for good, but still live a good life. The villains, well as always get their just rewards...with some room to possibly make part 2...some things were left unsaid. So worth the watch...the 8 episodes fly by leaving you wanting more!

This is possibly the worst adaptation of an original webtoon I've seen so far - and that's saying something. It somehow manages to be even worse than the movie version of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. At this point, the only thing they kept from the source material is the title.
What made the original webtoon interesting was that it wasn't your typical superhero tale. Cashero focused on a brother and sister managing the brother's suddenly discovered superpower, highlighting their day-to-day lives. The show, of course, tosses all of that aside and turns it into just another loud, generic superhero series.
It starts out promising, but before long it turns into the same kind of formula we've already seen over and over in X-Men, Heroes, and Moving too. Watching it go down that path is honestly nauseating.
Why do Korean productions keep doing this to their source material?

This has a fresh take on the superhero concept and it was an enjoyable watch overall. I liked the characters and although they were slightly underdeveloped, I think the actors did their best to bring the characters to life, and I particularly liked the villainous siblings. I also liked the literal meaning of 'money is power' and how it relates to the protagonist's power and abilities - how he was only powerful when he had money. The protagonist's goodness was innate though so his powers were put to good use.

Although there are some bugs, the whole work moves smoothly. It is not traditional Shuangwen, and it is easier for the audience to insert themselves. The more you see behind it, the more it is worth thinking about. I like a sentence in the original text very much, inherited from his father is not super ability, but poverty, Shangxiong as an ordinary person, but also thousands of us.

Strong Performances and Direction, but a Weak work of writer, sometimes feel like mindless. I finished watching Cashero with very mixed feelings. On one hand, the acting performances and direction were genuinely good, but on the other hand, the story and writing were extremely weak and disappointing. Overall, this series had great potential, but sadly, it was not utilized well because of poor writing.
First of all, I want to clearly say that all actors and actresses did good job. The performances felt sincere, natural, and engaging. The main lead, supporting cast, and even side characters acted convincingly. There was no issue at all with acting. Similarly, the direction was also decent. Scenes were presented well, emotions were conveyed properly, and technically the series looked fine. In terms of execution, the director did his part.
However, the biggest problem of this series is the storyline and writing. I would honestly rate the story 5 out of 10 because of actor and actress or director. The plot feels very shallow, underdeveloped, and at times completely mindless. It seems like the writer had an idea but didn't know how to properly build or connect it. Many scenes feel random, and several important elements are introduced but never explained or concluded.
One major flaw that really bothered me was the character of the lady who gives money on debt (loan-shark type character). She helps the hero financially when he is in need and repeatedly tells him that she wants him to become her son-in-law. This is highlighted multiple times, yet there is not a single scene showing her daughter. Not even once. This makes no sense at all. Naturally, viewers expect that her daughter will be introduced later or will play an important role, but that never happens. It feels like a completely unfinished track.
In fact, at one point I genuinely expected that the main heroine might turn out to be her daughter, which could have added depth or at least some connection to the story. But no-there is no such reveal, no explanation, nothing. This is just one example of how poorly the writing is handled.
Another confusing aspect is that many characters are talked about throughout the series but never actually shown. This includes the parents of the main female lead. You keep hearing about them, but you never see them even once. They simply disappear from the narrative. This creates confusion and breaks the emotional connection with the characters.
The series is full of such loopholes and incomplete character arcs. Important details are missing, relationships are not properly explained, and several subplots feel abandoned halfway. As a viewer, you keep waiting for answers, but the series never delivers them.
To summarize, Cashero suffers mainly because of very low-grade writing. The story could have been much stronger, more prominent, and more impactful if the writer had put real effort into structure, logic, and character development. Sadly, that effort is missing.
That said, I must repeat that acting, direction, and overall presentation were good. The actors deserved a much better script. With a solid story, this series could have been impressive. Unfortunately, due to weak writing and a confusing narrative, it ends up feeling like wasted potential.
If you are watching Cashero only for performances and visuals, you might enjoy parts of it. But if you expect a strong, logical, and meaningful storyline, you will most likely be disappointed.

I couldn't get past the English dub of Lee Jun-Ho's character. Just such an awful, flat performance to start with. And it sounds like the same voice actor who did the dub of Lee Dong-Wook's character in Divorce Insurance. Even Lee Jun-Ho's gorgeous face wasn't enough to keep me watching past the first episode. Maybe in a few months I'll start over with just the subtitles.

As many others have pointed out, it strays from the original and fails to properly develop many of its plot points. There are only a few Asian films I genuinely like, and this isn't one of them. I'm giving it extra stars only because someone at least dared to try conveying this ridiculous superhero concept and to show what money can do to people when taken too seriously. Had it leaned more into comedy rather than drama, it would have worked much better. Consider this rating a Christmas gift.

I had high expectations for Cashero, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a massive letdown. The plot feels incredibly weak and lacks the depth needed to sustain interest. It's becoming increasingly clear that since Moving, we haven't seen a truly satisfying supernatural K-drama. While Moving set a high bar for storytelling and character development in this genre, Cashero fails to even come close.
The production value is another major issue. Despite reports of a substantial budget, the CGI and visual effects feel unpolished and amateurish at times. It honestly makes me wonder where all that money actually went. It feels as though the vast majority of the budget was spent on securing a high-profile lead actor rather than investing in the technical quality the show desperately needed.
When you have a supernatural premise, the world-building and effects are non-negotiable, but here they felt like an afterthought. Instead of a cohesive, thrilling experience, we got a subpar narrative masked by a big name. If you're looking for the next great superpower drama, this isn't it. Save your time and rewatch Moving instead.

This show caught me off guard, I thought it was a romance show, but after finishing the first episode and second episode, I am truly impressed, it turned out to be something interesting Romance, action, thriller at the same time, it gives me the same feeling I had for Death's game, it deserves to be no.1 on Netflix.
