Pochemu ty?

Despite my natural aversion to traitors, the film involved me, a whirlwind of uncontainable and engaging passion between a young university student and a quarantined company manager. The chemistry between the talented Angelina Zagrebina and the excellent Daniil Vorobyov is total, sublimely underlined by the director/screenwriter Aleksandr Prost and the photography of an enchanting St. Petersburg. Almost a correction of the story of Lolita, with a less malicious interpreter and a less dramatic ending, perhaps the modern evolution of a dated story surpassed by the new generations. I also really appreciated the open and romantic ending.

Not sure how often I have used that line - as always no pun intended. The movie and the characters work - but having Anora out there? A far superior movie with some similar story points - well if you only have the time patience to watch one of those movies? Make it Anora ... that said, both have nudity and sexual situations. Just so you are aware of it. There was even a situation where something was blurred - not sure if it was done for streaming or there is no other version. Other than that there is nothing explicit - again just fyi.

In this case, there is more spotlight on the male character ... who is not the most likeable to be quite honest. Well you may see it differently I reckon - but he does cheat on his wife. One could argue: can you blame him? Especially when you see the woman he falls for .... though she feels more like a girl to him.

The ending is supposed to be philosophical I reckon ... it just doesn't really hit (all the right notes, in my humble opinion) ...

It has many intimate scenes which excites at first, but it develops into an intense connection, feeling of love that is beyond physical need. It portrays the madness of love that the male protagonist experience and the urge to change that the girl finds and finds her path.
