A good attempt by a film student, with nice use of 16mm
It's a shame that the film students who made this have been taking down negative comments about the film. Feedback is important when learning at film school! My only criticism really is that the use of stock footage was a bit lazy.
The film students who made this had access to a huge amount of university resources. They could have used that to film the dream sequences themselves, but instead there is a large section of stock footage credits in the ending credits. It just looks a bit amateurish.
Apart from that, the 16mm footage looked quite nice. I heard that the 16mm reels were recycled from another off-curriculum student project a few years back, which is a good way to keep costs down and protect the environment!
Overall, a good effort by these students and I hope to see their next projects as they learn more about filmmaking.
