Meet the Family

I can't help but feel for these guys on this show. They come to this house to meet their girlfriend's family for the first time and from the moment they arrive they end up getting tortured going from one situation and one crazy family member to the next. It is very cruel because these guys obviously are on their best behaviour and willing to put up with pretty much anything to get on the good side of their girl's family. I admit I laugh and a lot of it is funny but it is also sometimes kind of cruel for instance in at least one show they convince the guy that grandma died while he was alone in the room watching her and make him feel guilty about it. Best thing on City TV for the time being but sad to say that isn't saying much.

This show is hilarious!

I love that these guys they get are so gullible or maybe so actually for real in love with their girlfriends that they actually believe that their families are real and actually as crazy as they pretend to be on TV.

You can tell it is real because they are so awkward and their reactions are so real. The guy who gets screamed at and then when he sees a baby shot up into the sky out of a cannon was really priceless, that was nuts.

The one with the Bachelor in it is great because the guy basically tells him he is a nobody and says screw off it made me spit up my drink.

Laugh out loud funny show! I am trying to find season one now I didn't even know that it existed until this year.

I had no idea what this show was when we watched it. At first we thought it was the movie Meet the Feebles for some reason it was all screwed up but obviously when it started up it was not Meet the Feebles. It was a reality show but not really a reality show. The pranks they play on the guy make him look pretty stupid but it also seems very mean because he really thinks he is meeting his wife or girlfriend's family but they are actually actors and the wife or girlfriend set him up for these pranks, where the actors playing her family are mean to him or just crazy. We couldn't help but laugh at the poor guy and in the end they gave him a free trip and he was OK with it but at the time he seemed so upset that the family didn't like him. I give it a 6 out of 10 and would go higher except it seems a bit mean and mostly it just looks cheap with cheap Canadian production values. But it is funnier than Canadian shows that look more expensive. Worth watching I assume maybe half the people will think it's funny like me and half the people will hate it for being cheap or mean.

This show has a lot of really funny moments that made me laugh out loud but others do not find this sense of funny to be funny at all. There are some parts where it is kind of boring and by that I mean there are parts where they are talking and then it drags on with nothing really happening and nobody doing anything other than talk.

But when it gets to the funny parts they can be very funny. One of the episodes had the boy friend put on the tightest little pair of shorts ever and then get in the hot tub with dad like within a minute of getting into the house. Right away after that dad is rubbing his back and chest and then gets him to do exercises where they shake their butts in front of the camera. Why on earth any guy would put on tiny little girl size shorts and then let dad rub there chest and do butt exercises I do not know :) If you like watching guys have pranks done on them you will love this show I have seen every episode and I love pranks and the guys get it very good. If it makes you squirm to watch guys freak out and get pranked then you won't like this show.

For example the one I already talked about at the end of the show the guy turns around and sees an old lady dead body back from drowning in the ocean and he totally freaks. Some people think that is funny but some people don't it just depends which kind of people you are for if you will like this show or not!

This is a really funny show I wish I knew where I could find season two.
