The rating is even too generous - this film deserves no more than a 3/10 on IMDb, not 4.
First of all, there is absolutely no sense of dynamics: the runtime drags painfully with zero suspense, zero tension - everything is dull, flat, and monotonous, with nothing but uninspired bedroom scenes.
Secondly, it claims to be an "erotic thriller." What a joke. Dear casting directors, at least bother to choose actors who actually fit the format. Alicia Silverstone looks older than Jamie Lee Curtis in the latest Halloween films - and that completely kills any trace of "eroticism." Hollywood is full of actresses in their late 40s and 50s who still look stunning, magnetic, and convincing: Malin Åkerman, Rebecca Romijn, Natasha Henstridge - real women with charisma, magnetism, and fire. This is not her role. Instead, we're given a tired lead who doesn't fit the role at all.
Third, the stalker theme is beyond worn out. Here it's presented on the level of a mediocre daytime soap: no depth, no clever twist, no psychological tension whatsoever.
The plot is embarrassingly primitive, the directing weak, the casting a complete misfire.
Final verdict: a worthless imitation of an "erotic thriller" that has neither eroticism nor thrills. Strongly not recommended.

The movie really nailed it , actors were top notch , no comedy things . Straight to the point . And the end seems a bit awkward (she is the one ). I hope they matched. Real love are for men, for women it does not matter. Psychic movie and a good one , everyone can enjoy it. Up and down movie, crazy duo, 2 different paths. Adventure type movie , drama, unpredictability , lies, sexual hypnotism. Addictive rough love. Mind control somehow horror movie . These 2 main actors deserve some more credit to stick to their acts . The whole story does not involve too many people and again really well put together movie overall.
I agree with other reviews that the ending was just meh. Nothing intriguing about it. What I find disconcerting is the review saying Elliot is "likable." He's a creepy incel stalker sociopath. There's absolutely nothing likable about him. Unfortunately Alicia Silverstone's character isn't developed at all, and so it's hard really rooting for her as well. No background, no real personality, poor Rachel Blanchard plays her sister for all of 3 minutes.
While the acting is decent and the plot gets interesting midway, it doesn't lead to an exciting climax. It passed the time with nothing else to watch but I wouldn't strongly recommend this one in any way.

Pretty Thing started off much better than I expected, since I was expecting some cheesy made for TV movie. Karl Glusman steals this film from Alicia Silverstone , with him playing an emotionally immature momma's boy and her playing a role usually reserved for men, a powerful, well off executive. The movie does a great job at explaining it's character's personalities and motivations, but I have to wonder if the people behind this intended to make the female character so unsympathetic and awful. While I enjoyed the film when it concentrated on Glusman's character, it all of a sudden switches to her point of view and goes downhill. Since his character is actually more likable and you feel for him, the movie just seems odd and the ending is genuinely a huge letdown. It's a shame they kind of dropped the plot, because the acting is excellent and the scenes are played in a very realistic way.
Will transport viewers to the late 80s n 90s erotic thriller but the ending ruined it.
One of the very best part is that the movie didn't take ur usual route of the married wife or married husband aka cheating spouses way.
Whenever I watch such kinda erotic thrillers i laugh a lot at the persistence of the stalker or one sided lover.
This movie is an example of a female empowerment stuff and at the same time showcases the socio economic disparity present.
I personally behaved like Elliot from this movie but I was 16 when I behaved like him wheras our Elliot is 33 who still lives with his mother.
The line: Roommate? He lives with his mom made me laugh and roll on the floor.
The lead actor gave a truly believable performance cos I had been there.
Alicia Silverstone looks very haggard. They shud have taken somebody else who was ready to go a bit nude.
Silverstone didn't even had the oomph factor or appeal at all.
