The movie could have been so much better. It appeared to be a mix of some Sunny Deol movie, Animal, Bhojpuri movie and Rajneekanth movie, but it lacked authenticity. Manoj Bajpai's character as Bhaiyya Ji was unable to create that level of fear as was expected. He rather appears as a normal person who is making mistakes after mistakes, and getting hurt every now and then. He rather appears as a weak personality who is taking instructions from his mother and is dependent on his fiancée's shooting skills to save him several times. Some scenes were meaningless and could not understand the logic behind them. The whole fear about that Lion symbol, people passing that antique piece of lion symbol everywhere had no strong impact and was totally meaningless, and nothing changed in the story after that. The whole village gathered together to take revenge, and then all the fights were done by Manoj Bajpai and his two followers. The action was mediocre, nothing that we had not seen earlier. Zoya as Bhabhi Ji was ok, at least she looked lovely and tried to break the stereotype of size 0 heroine, and there was no overacting by her. How can an action masala film have no memorable dialogue? Dialogue writing was so poor that I am writing this review immediately after watching this movie....and can't remember even a single dialogue. I was expecting some solid dialogues, and even better dialogues which we have heard many times like "Ek Bihari sab pe bhaari" or "Zindagi Jhandwa, fir bhi ghamandwa" that has some recall value...but none in this movie. Even the language seems confusing..neither seems like proper bihari/bhojpuri/hindi and I could not understand whether the villains were Delhi boys, or Haryanvi or Rajasthani... accents of father, sons and friends all were mixed up. Bhaiyaa Ji's weapon as Fawda/Spade looked very funny to me as in the whole movie, most shootings were done by Bhabhi Ji's gun than by Bhaiya Ji's Fhawda. The title should have been "Bhaiya Ji Ser toh Bhaujai Savaser" Anyway, I am a very busy person and wasted my Friday night watching this movie just because there were no IMDB reviews hopefully my review will help some like-minded people who prefer to spend a few minutes reading some reviews and ratings before spending 2-3 hrs on watching a movie.
Bhaiyya Ji staring Manoj Bajpayee is the weakest movie of him I have seen in recent years. No questions on his acting skills but poor editing, direction and execution has made the film weak. Without the background story of the character i.e Bhaiyya ji his fear seems exaggerated and over-hyped. During fight sequences also I felt some scenes are illogical which I won't expect from MB. Why Bhaiyya ji's younger brother showed as step brother is also not understandable? Real brother and mother would have made his pain more authentic. Also missed good background score and music in the film which can make it more powerful.
No plot and a lack of story development that fails to engage or captivate the audience.
"Bhaiya Ji" disappoints with its lack of plot and coherent storyline. Despite a charismatic lead, the film suffers from disjointed scenes and uninspired dialogues. The titular character, who could have been fantastic, flounders without depth or development. Direction and pacing are lackluster, with humor often missing the mark. Technical aspects, like cinematography fail to impress. Overall, "Bhaiya Ji" squanders its potential, leaving viewers frustrated and wishing for a more engaging and cohesive narrative.

There have been multiple movies where I have wondered why Manoj B agreed to pick them up. He's an absolutely stellar performer and one of the best industry has ever seen.
When he makes the choice to be part of movies like this or Silence it really discredits his talent. For a man who worked in Pinjar, Veer Zara or The Family Man - this movie is an absolute joke. It's outdated and over the top. It's like a 90s Bollywood movie crossed with a crass movie from the South. And not in a good way.
Manoj B - if you ever read this. Please don't do yourself a disservice by signing up for this mediocre stuff. You are an asset to the otherwise sunk Indian movie industry.

This type of revenge stories has been viewed dozens of times since 80s, so nothing new. A power crazy Bahubali and his violent prone son doing harm to the hero's family member, awakening a retired Bahubali to avenge the wrong. This kind of movie is not suited to an actor of Manoj Bajpai's caliber. The slow motion single handed fighting effect, leaping great distance in a single bound seen in numerous Sunny Deol/Salman Khan or south indian type masala films. Usually the hero facing adversity, is isolated and supposedly weaker than the villain, you than have the thrill of a David vs Goliath battle. Here it seems the hero has lots of support from all around so he is by no means the proverbial underdog.
Talk about a miscast. The main villain looked like somebody's munimji close to retiring from his job. No personality whatsoever. There was no build up of his character either to portray his power, just the standard violence that comes with a gangster movie. So, it felt like you are in the middle of the story right from the beginning. Dialogues were pedestrian at best. In short, run of the mill masala film without the mainstream star cast.
