Terrible episode, poor language used throughout and a guest appearance from an equally terrible person. 750 episodes and this has to be one of the worst if not THE worst ive ever seen. The simpsons was silly family fun. Sometimes the humour isnt great as americans very often dont get sarcasm or intelligent humour but this episode feels more like family guy or southpark than classic simpsons.
I was bedridden with covid and looking for some easy fast food for the brain type entertainment. I still love the old Simpsons, and every now and then against my better judgement I check out an episode in hopes that there may be even just one moment that recaptures the magic. But wow, was I wrong.
It's unfathomable how the once funniest show on TV has become such an absolute snoozefest. There's barely any plot anymore, it's just a series of events and cutaways which are less coherent than an AI written story. There is absolutely no substance here anymore. Homer has a road rage induced car accident (just about the only thing in character) and goes through a series of hallucinations that show him that he shouldnt be angry at Marge because he's really just a big buffoon. He is told this by a rap song that repeatedly uses the word b1t ch for some reason. I don't mind vulgarity, but I mind it when it's stupid. Dan Castellata sings along, and his voice keeps breaking. It's a phoned in performance. No one here cares what they're doing.
None of this even feels like the Simpsons anymore. The obligatory characters show up for their tired old gags. Martin is still a nerd, Nelson does his Ha-Ha thing, Ralph says something stupid. These things used to play into the stories, but now it's just cut and paste to pad the runtime. It's not just lazy and cynical, it also desecrates the memory of what was once a great show. This was disgusting.

The one-liners which are supposed to promote laughs in this particular episode are way off the mark, and for the most part, the humor in this episode usually ends up being a bit more disturbing and annoying than it is actually funny. Sure, the 1992 episode titled, "Homer's Triple Bypass" poked fun at someone having a medical emergency, but the graphic nature of that particular episode was off set by more than enough humorous dialog and sight gags to make the whole thing worthwhile.
However, Homer's Adventure Through the Windshield Glass doesn't have anywhere near enough well rounded humor to off set its lazy raunchiness, and one has to wonder how projects like this get green lit in the first place. Additionally, the constant use of vulgar profanity used by one of Maggie's favorite dolls might be unsettling to some younger viewers.
It used to that a viewer could turn into the Simpsons and expect to be entertained by a story line which someone had put a lot of effort into. However, with this particular episode, it would seems that comedy and entertainment have now taken a back seat to other ideals.

I gave it 2 stars because finally they did an intro again. 750th show, so it will now be 250 shows until the next one. Guess they cost money. Besides that nothing good to say about the episode. It was not funny. It's now a comedy show that's all about teaching us how to be good people.
Not being American I'd never heard of Lizzo. Her part in this episode was so in your face that she got to be super happy. But from the best show in any category on TV, in my eyes, to this.
750 episodes, going down slowly. I was a huge fan since the beginning. Now watching it feels like a total waste of time. I must say that the people giving this episode 10 stars either have a really low standard for their comedies, or they're paid bots. If this is worth 10 stars, then what is worth 1?

This is actually a good episode, something creative and different from the usual format. I found it visually entertaining, funny and, contrary to what some other reviewers have said, it included classic Simpsons elements. The Simpsons often had the characters facing a moral dilemma, or a process of developing insight into themselves and others; it also often had some shock value to the humour. I agree it is presented differently now, but it has been over 30 years, that is inevitable. I understand some people might be uncomfortable with the language, but it hardly means the whole episode has nothing going for it. I feel this episode has rewatch value and adds to the Simpsons story. I love the early episodes, but grateful the team can still make some good ones and keep this show going :)
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesMarge's Dad's poker buddies are Joseph Stalin, Genghis Khan, Benito Mussolini and Pol Pot.
- PifiasThere is a problem with the way the dice on Mercer's T-shirt is drawn : 4 & 3 cannot share a vertex (an edge). The idea is that « Opposite sides of a modern dice traditionally add up to seven, requiring the 1, 2, and 3 faces to share a vertex. » So, since 4 + 3 = 7 they should be on opposite sides.
- Créditos adicionalesThe opening credits have a lot more characters stuffed into each scene than usual, starting with Bart's classroom being unusually crowded. This ends with the Simpsons' TV declaring this to be "The Simpsons 750th Episode". The blackboard gag of "I will not try to cram 750 characters into the opening credits" calls attention to this.
