After an incident with a minor student, chemistry teacher Rita is forced to look for a new job. Chance leads her to a rich cottage that needs to be cleaned after the party. Using her brilliant knowledge of chemistry, Rita copes with the task perfectly. But the next order is cleaning the cottage after the murder.

Hiding from bandits who want to eliminate the witness, Rita returns to St. Petersburg, where she has not been for many years. There she attracts the attention of the police and again gets into a dangerous bind, rendering them an unusual service.

The help of the police does not go unnoticed by the local gang under the leadership of Valter. Amazed by Rita's abilities, he asks her to use them to his advantage.

Rita manages to cope with Valter's task, but her own safety is under threat. From Rita's memories, it becomes clear that she was forced to leave her hometown because of a dark story related to the development of a certain drug.

Once again escaping from her pursuers, Rita asks for help from a former colleague in the laboratory. Meanwhile, in addition to the bandits, the police and special services join the search for Rita. But most importantly, the very people from the past, from whom she has been hiding all these years, are on her trail.

Tired of the chase, Rita decides to go all in. With the help of a hacker friend, she records a video where she tells the whole truth about the development she was doing in the laboratory. This temporarily confuses the cards of her old enemies, but Valter's people reappear on the horizon.

Rita is surprised to find out that Valter needs her alive, and decides to play her own game, setting up some of her pursuers against others. An unexpected assistant in this case becomes her familiar policeman.

Finding herself face to face with her past, Rita finally finds out who is a friend and who is an enemy. But perhaps her new friends will be worse than her old enemies? Moreover, they know more about her past than she does.
