SCP: The Infinite Mission

The main problem with this film is that it is badly acted. I'm not sure the actors are 100% to blame for this, but delivery is wooden and sounds as if it was recorded in a cupboard.

It's poorly directed; long slow meandering shots that do not add to the feeling, sudden brief action (poorly delivered), no sense of tension, and hanging on actors' faces waiting for them to speak.

Whilst a loop story can be an effective plot, you can't care about anybody or anything in the movie as nothing flows and the characters are cutouts.

Was there an editor? Or did the writer director just put it together as he went along?

Sisse Marie is about the best thing in this movie.

As plots go, time loops are one of my favourites. However, don't expect it to be of much depth here.

What started as a really promising short film, soon ran out of steam after 20 minutes. The Director seems to think you should know what they are thinking as there really is very little character development before things start kicking off. And then the combat scenes were very wooden. You could literally tap the rhythm that they practised. It didn't flow at all. In one instance, someone literally was surprised by someone jumping at them, from the front of a barren desert. Follow on for the number of plot points that get introduced but not followed up, I feel the writer was making this up as they went and they ran out of time to bring this to a satisfying conclusion. The main plot point of time looping was barely even touched and could have produced so much more. Costumes were spot on, VFX were barely used, acting had more wood than Pinnochio, and the film just fell flat. It's not BAD.. It's just...Disappointing.

One day I was tired of watching the too much Hollywood movie (Too much effect too much wow forcing) I look what is there else I have found talented underrated actor because I understood people watch the wow forcing Hollywood movies because it's not more or less a trend. This Infinite mission is good and should be seen as for many other movies. I will never tell someone what to watch but I can advice not to follow a trend but seek and read all the menu.

For what it is, I enjoyed it. I liked the sets, I thought the costumes and production design was pretty on point, and I thought the time loop premise was pretty interesting. The fight choreography was a bit stiff and there's some noticeable audio done in post, but I really can't be too harsh about that.

I do think it could've been a bit longer to capitalize on the time loop premise. As it is, we don't really get to learn too much about most of the characters, barring the lead. That being said, I think there's plenty of potential here to improve upon in a follow up or sequel. They certainly left the door open for one in the future.
