This film shows how with minimal dialogue, along with phenomenal facial and body expression, you can make a film that gives you goosebumps. The acting of the main characters is masterful.
Slavko Sobin and Tihana Zalovic achieved striking roles, both extremely difficult and so strong. The film was not diluted by unnecessary side events, but the whole time the focus was on the main thing, that pain, torment and fear of abuse.
The story touches your heart deeply, hoping that no one will ever find themselves in this situation. Croatia needs a quality Oscar candidate, and it should be this film.
Great recommendation.

" Only when I laugh" is an amazing and very powerful movie.
The sociopathic personality is portrayed authentically, with all the details of manipulation and sabotage depicted realistically.
Tihana and Slavko are phenomenal in their roles. Tihana Lazovic is on par with world-class actresses. Every scene brings something magnetically captivating and deeply moving.
The story gradually develops. With each scene it gets more and more intense and it takes you to the depths you didn't quite expect at the beginning. This is utterly underrated movie.
You will get chills, you will reflect, you will understand.
