Kamen raidâ Wizâdo

I watched Wizard as a child and it was a wonderful childhood for me. When I grew up and watched it again, I still really enjoyed everything about this series. Although the main story may be simple and doesn't progress much for a long time until the final episodes. But the side stories in each episode and the main story are all very interesting and engaging (at least for me, it is so). Other factors are likewise, such as the suits, the cast and characters in the film, the psychological developments of the characters, the comedy, the story ideas, music,... most of them are simple but great.

For many people, this might be considered a bad series. But at least for me, this is the Kamen Rider series that I like the most.

Kamen rider wizard got a simple yet amazing suit design and fight choreography also very fantastic. However the character, storyline was poorly written.

It's interesting to see how much has this series changed since it was released on 1971. We have seen a lot riders.... riders in space... riders that travel through time... riders that control speed and now this. In general Kamen Rider Wizard is a great season, specially if you are a Tokusatsu fan or a Kamen Rider fan. It has a lot of content to show at least on the first 10 episodes and probably you will end up liking it. If you are new to this series It will be better if you watch first Kamen Rider Decade and W to get some idea of how this tokusatsu(special effects in japan) works. The fight scenes are completely awesome, even if you have seen other Kamen Riders before this one... it will take it to another level. The magic rings and all the other combinations make every fight unique and memorable even though it uses the same background music. The music is one of the most important distinction elements between tokus like super sentai and Kamen Rider. The music of Wizard is beyond excellent, the tone of fantasy really sets every episode and for me is one of the most memorable soundtracks of the new hesei era. The acting in KR Wizard is good, I didn't see anything bad in it but it's surely better than Fourze. In Kamen Rider the especial effects are definitely an important factor. In Wizard most of the especial effects are great in general.... not like the ones we see on Hollywood movies but still pretty good and with lots of magic. Expect dragons, creatures, big explosions and giant hands... seriously if you give it a magic context to it... makes perfect sense. Trust me. Compared to Fourze I think it was really an upgrade in especial effects terms.

In conclusion if you really like Kamen Rider you will probably end up liking this season. It has great music, great action scenes, good story and good characters but don't watch it with too much criticism ... in the end all series have their little details and mistakes but in this one they will not distract you from enjoying the whole thing. If you are new to Kamen Rider watch it if you want but I recommend you first Kamen Rider Decade and W. Remember that this is a tokusatsu and not SUPER SENTAI... there are differences between audiences... this one has a more serious tone.

Man I'm so disappointed, I was hoping for this being a good season. Usually, I rate shows either a 8 or 9 (mostly 9), 10 depending on how much I enjoy the show but this is the first time I didn't like a Kamen Rider season. The story was so all over the place, it felt like it wasn't going anywhere until around episode 47. The characters are okay at best, Rinko Daimon is my favorite character honestly. The main character is ok, same with the secondary rider. The acting isn't all that bad. I may not like it but it doesn't mean it don't have pros. The suit designs are pretty good (for Wizard and Wiseman at least), the transformation sound is pretty cool as well. The first 5 episodes were pretty good, I like about 13 episodes in total. It's defiantly isn't the worst thing I've watched. I honestly wouldn't recommend it although I was told it's the type of season not to skip which I can see why.
